This youtube creator parody of an 80s ABC O&O newscast deserves to be in the classic video - such attention to detail right down to the tone and facial expression for the opening story

Also from the same creator, a report on the explosive finale of season 3 of ST - as if it happened on CNN:

CBS New York tonight on streaming aired a one hour rebroadcast of the 6:00 newscast on the day after the blackout of '77, which happened 45 years tonight. At helm was Jim Jensen and Pre-ET/Roundball Rock John Tesh.

From WVEC's account, I can say with a good bit of confidence this is the oldest complete or nearly complete footage from that station that has surfaced.

This is a September 1975 special titled "The Invasion of '75", hosted by a young John Miller and focused on the increase in tourism in Williamsburg and Yorktown (no doubt Busch Gardens opening and the approaching American Bicentennial were major factors)

NEW finds...About eight minutes of KOMO News 4 at 11, taped 2/1/93 with Dan Lewis and the late Kathi Goertzen

Also a KING 5 News open at the end of this from 3/19/90...interesting theme that must have been short-lived. Ed O'Brian is the v/o - not Joe Michaels or NBC promo announcer Danny Dark who did work for KING in the early '90s.

Here is a real find! WFLA’s coverage of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge Disaster from May 9, 1980 from retired main anchor Bob Hite’s secondary Youtube channel. It is confirmed WFLA used Part of Your Life through 1980.

At 23:25 is an ancient WFLA news slide. Probably dates to the early '70s.

WVEC compilation of clips from September 1990 I just ran across. Included are promos for PrimeTime, a Ted Koppel Report special and a WVEC newsbreak anchored by Barbara Ciara (also sprinkled in are spots for Head of the Class after Billy Connolly replaced Howard Hessemann and an incomplete Cop Rock promo)

Breifly at 15:35, Church Scarborough fills in for Brian Williams on Weekend Nightly News in 1995.

RE: that 2016 open in there that is inspired by the spinning world 80s and statue of liberty mid 80s opens - happened to run into Lester and his wife on the street and told him kudos to whomever did that work - it was really classy, approachable, identifiable work.

He was appreciative and liked it too. Wish the open lasted longer.
