Uploaded last year, stuff with Collier Concept's "The Team to Watch" campaign.

Someone uploaded TEN-10's version of the promo in April:

Final minutes of TEN-10's Eyewitness News with Dal Myles in 1985 (with a close), uploaded in October:

Here is the Sky News (UK) version of the promo above:

And of course, an HQ version of the second version, commemorating their first anniversary:

Speaking of which, TVQ-0 (now 10) Brisbane had their own adaptation, which didn't use the Collier Concepts graphics (at least, as far as we know):

Here's another promo from them, plus a late night newscast, June 7, 1983:

Here's a couple of 1986 TEN-10 bulletins with "The One to Watch" (first one from Frankster's archives, reuploaded to YouTube - wonder what happened to him?):

And from the same year, a promo with "Turn to News" using Collier Concepts material:

interesting, as KRBC (also in the Abilene market) used the theme in the mid 90s...

Recent re-uploads from the YouTube purge.

KIMA News Weekend Edition, taped February 2nd, 2003 with Michelle Perreault, Mike McCabe WX and Kyle Draper's sports. Mike McCabe is still working at KEPR/KIMA as the chief meteorologist...

https://archive.org/details/capture-a-440

KIMA News at 5 from a couple weeks later, February 19th, 2003. Sten Walstrom, Roxeanne Vainuku and Stu Seibel WX. Loved this old set of the Yakima Valley. Looked pretty good for market #114. Too bad it's cheapened down to the logo on TVs behind Jake Taylor nowadays...

WDVM Test News Opens 1984

Evidently, this video suggests what the NMSA labels as the "KNTV 1985 News Theme" was intended to be used by (if not composed for) WDVM.

And speaking of which, here's two opens from KNTV, which does use the theme and with Collier Concepts' animation work, so it doesn't seem like a waste.

6PM open (unfortunately someone - the person recording the tape? - overdubbed the open):

11PM open:

And of course, KGMB used it too (sourced from a documentary, which I'm also posting here):

And the accompanying promos:

KNDO News 23 Late Edition, 4/6/1992 (partial). Jim Lewis is the anchor. He was at KNDO in the late '80s and early '90s timeframe.

KAPP 35 commercials aired during The Thorn Birds on 7/20/1993, but also includes the first two minutes of Northwest NightCast at the end. Kevin Shaub and Tyffani Peters are the anchors. I believe NW Nightcast originated from KVEW Kennewick and not KAPP.

WMAQ, Chicago; 10 p.m., 1984; BTW, both anchors would eventually join WLS -- Linda Yu that same year and Ron Magers 14 years later:

Not just later that year, she left just a month after this broadcast.

And while they never permanently anchored a show together at WLS, this is from their final show together in 2016, just months before both retired.

That's a great find! And since the article mentions former World News Tonight co-anchor Max Robinson, are there any clips from his WMAQ stint available online? I don't remember ever seeing any. And does anyone know how he and Magers ended up dividing their shifts?

I have a ton of articles saved from that time, but they're not too handy right now. Ron and Max were the main 10pm team (possibly at 4:30, but the newcomer was off half the time, anyway), but it didn't last even a year. Max's report card basically said "does not play well with others." He brought his wounded, yet still inflated network ego to a perennial 3rd place station. After Robinson's quick exit, Magers would find respectability and SLIGHTLY higher ratings with Carol Marin & Deborah Norville.

If you or anyone else has any other questions about the history of Chicago news, feel free to message me. I've done a ton of casual research.

KNDU Local News 11 at 11 from August 26th, 2000. KNDU and KNDO simulcasted news on weekends. Anchors are Dustin McDunn and Rachelle Murcia (who I vaguely remember from KOMO-4, but she currently works at KBAK in Bakersfield CA.) Top story - a 110,000 acre fire in Mabton contained.
