KOMO April 1987 6:30pm preshow and open

No talent open - hard to find much from the mid 80s KOMO era - great theme from Dan Dean - an 'indie' classic right up there with the indie KCRA and KDKA themes around the same time

July 1986 11pm open

And while we are in Arizona, ewjxn just uploaded another 1996 edition of KSAZ's Arizona Prime News -- at least the first 30 minutes of it. This was after the station adopted the Fox 10 News brand in other dayparts (and the CBS-era "10" logo was retired), but Arizona Prime News would remain essentially unchanged until it became Fox 10 News at 9 a few months later:

Continuing our recent Arizona theme but moving south one market, here's a 1989 newscast from KVOA in Tucson:

That's John Hook before moving across Arizona to do FOX 10 News in Phoenix

KCRA 1985... Where The Karaoke Comes First.  Somebody needs to tell them this whole "Singing Machine" fad will never catch on! 😜

Good to see the old KCRA neon lit up @ 3:31.   It needs to be restored and moved to the front of the building.

KOVR 13 in 1994 proving why they've consistently been the cellar dweller in the Sacramento market.  SMH.

David Ono at KOVR, while Ellen Leyva (then Elena Leyva) was at rival KXTV

I didn't know these two were competing against each other in Sacramento BEFORE heading to Los Angeles to anchor together at ABC 7 Eyewitness News

Cool WXYZ clips - that transition from the 5-6pm with the 6pm anchors walking on set is a gem. Probably the most interesting dual set I've seen - lots of variety in shots.

And mixing it up with original Cool Hand Luke and the Gari cuts is another nice touch.

I always thought that was the coolest thing ever to see the anchors walking while they transition to 6pm news.

Three new Hawaiian clips from Sloan's TV Airchive:

First, KHON Honolulu (when that was the NBC station of Hawaii): morning edition for Fri. Dec. 4, 1992, w/Leslie Wilcox

KITV Honolulu: News 4 weekend early edition w/Dick Allgire for Sun. Dec. 6, 1992

And one more from KHON: also from Sun. Dec. 6, 1992, weekend evening edition w/Barbara Wallace and Kirk Matthews, and Bob Hogue on sports (this after his stint at KCRA Channel 3 in Sacramento): Barbara apparently also does the weather report here
