KUTV Newswatch 2 1977.

This, among the many clips, and snippets involving the FBI's Most Wanted criminal Ted bundy.

It's a shame that 1) these are recorded off of a phone via TV screen and 2) there are no news intros, since it's clearly the end of Al Ham's "On Top Of It All" in those 1977 KUTV news clips. It looks like this user made a trip to the University of Utah's Moving Image Archive, which has a collection of KUTV newscasts.

These videos were posted 9 years ago on YouTube, but I am about to share these.

First, we have a Guam Cable News broadcast from 1988 as anchored by Kurt Chaisson. The theme they used was "The One & Only" by Klein&.

And also, we have a KGNS news open and clip from the 1980s. The theme they used was "Newscore" by VTS Productions.

These videos were posted by Kurt Chaisson on his YouTube page at https://www.youtube.com/user/kirk42107/videos.

WTVD 11 News Nightwatch late edition, for Wed. May 13, 1992 (has Miriam Thomas and the late Larry Stogner on news, Mike Caplan w/Accu-Weather, and Drew Smith on sports; opening here is something that The ID Junkie could possibly use for a WTVD opens revision)

WTVG 1981 - Must have changed themes that week - the upload from 5 days before has a different open and theme:

This was right after they moved to their current studios on Dorr Street, you can see many commercials on its progress on YT.

KCEN's morning news from Chistmas Eve 1992, uploaded by the anchor himself, Richard Tolleson:

He's also uploaded lots of promos and bloopers from his time there:

May she rest in peace... this is the newscast that's closest to my birth date online (I was born the day before) so this is cool to see.

On a random search in the Web Archive, I found some interesting WJZ Stuff:

https://archive.org/details/WJZ-EYE-002-019 - December 17, 1977 Eyewitness News - Oprah's not happy about something before she does her tease, one of the last news opens with the "WJZ 1975 News Theme"

https://archive.org/details/WJZ-EYE-002-018 - December 19, 1977 Eyewitness News - The noon newscast here is the last with the theme, which features a long close. The debut of a new set and a new theme (Telesound's "Number Thirteen") is midway through the video.

Not a video... but noteworthy since it's an audio recording of a 1973 KTVU newscast open (with Move Closer to Your World), followed by a recording of a KRON open at 3:25 with an unknown theme, and then KPIX (which did not have a theme) at 29:45:  https://archive.org/details/cueth_000413

I updated WTVD back in January.

WSVN 7 Sports xtra, 1994, Jim Berry's last day at the station before he went to work at WBBM in chicago, he would later come home to work at WFOR where he currently is today.

BTW If anyone can find clips of Jim during his tenure at WBBM, I appreciate it.

Don't normally squeeze something like this in here, but a promo from the Australian half of the Adelaide/Austin news anchor exchange in 1986:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoYdn0zClmI

(As a note for people who didn't realize, including me: the full KTVV newscast we have is from a second trip Fulwood did to Austin later that year, not the straight up exchange that occurred in May)

Judging from this promo, it was in May of 1987 when KOVR debuted Earwitness News:

Don't think theres much or any of KGTV from this era:

This KOA-TV newscast was also among Pannoni's uploads today:

As well as KDKA's coverage of the Challenger explosion:
