NOOOOOOOOOOO! That was one of the biggest video memorabilia channels on Youtube. This sucks.

Interesting note, several episodes of Oddity Archive used content from FuzzyMemories (Ben Minnotte even directly credited the site himself in one episode, with special thanks to the site being given only in the credits of other episodes), even providing links to the excerpted videos in the closing credits of the particular episodes. I hope Ben doesn't use Chrome, because if he ever plans to use FuzzyMemories content in future OA episodes, trying to download them from that browser through the website's player to edit into the episodes would be difficult. Seriously, try to get the player on the FuzzyMemories website to load on Chrome and not wonder "What is the freakin' holdup?"

Putting this here because this update from "CKND Sports Line" from May 20, 1993, is slightly more interesting than "typical Canadian sports show update". The monitors in the background on the right show CBS Newsnet and NBC News Channel feeds!

Ron Futrell put up some more stuff including these clips from his Yakima days...

Don't know if this was posted here:

WNBC News 4 New York expanded late edition, 1984; has Ralph Penza, Anna Bond, Sal Marchiano on sports, and Al Roker w/the weather

In the memory and in tribute to the late, great Dick Ellis. RIP and Godspeed.

Didn't know he passed on until now-- what from?! The obit from KVUE states only that it was a brief illness.

The termination of FuzzyMemories YT channel is unfortunate, but not surprising. Some of the recent stuff they had uploaded had tons of flagable/copyright heavy content (such as the full episodes of Happy Days, Soundstage, etc.). I'm curious as to what they'll do from here, whether it be them going to court to have the channel return (like their fight with Tribune 10 years ago to upload WGN-TV clips), or just starting over with a new one. This will definitely breathe new life into their main website however, which hasn't seen much updates since around 2017.

Now for a little oddity that a found on a tape, an entire 30+ minute downtime sequence for KYW-TV from September 1987. yes, they were only off the air for a half hour, and yes, they still did formal sign-off and sign-on messages!

I totally agree. All of that network/scripted material seemed really out of place and off-brand, just begging to be flagged.

Finally uploaded the KRIV 1991 9 PM open I had teased a while back. Sadly it's the only part of the newscast that was on said tape, and it wasn't the best quality picture...

Looks just like the WNYW one. Now where's the one with the 1991 KRIV news theme?

KOCO 5 (Oklahoma City) weather from 1990 with Mike Morgan (since 1993 at rival KFOR) reporting on a tornado on the ground with a considerable lack of hype compared to today's severe weather coverage.

Following up on a 1988 ABC 20/20 report on alleged visions of the Virgin Mary in the Yugoslavian village of Medjugorje (pronounced med-ju-gorya), here's a WVUE New Orleans update on the impact felt on the city's predominantly Catholic community.

Nearly 2 years earlier, the station's former weekend co-anchors, Jim Bailey and Mary Lou McCall, presented a memorable series of reports on those visions, culminating in a prime-time special which aired in December 1986 (also on YouTube), public speaking tours at New Orleans area churches, and several interviews on WVUE and other media outlets.
