This channel has posted some Tulsa news footage, some of which are extremely rare.

This video reveals more of KJRH's Scripps-mandated set.

This one has a KTUL newscast with Judd Hambrick (!!)

And this reveals KJRH's open using WWL News.

Also, KJRH with News One (!) in 1996 (!!).

The other cuts are definitely 615, but I question whether that open is--sounds more like Chris Crane put his spin on it (I hear a WHDH style synth hit in there), which would be even more exciting if so.

I believe I've identified a voiceover!

I believe this is Tony Evans, a longtime Phoenix radio fixture (KRIZ, KOPA, KSLX, KYOT). He did voiceover work for KTVK in the 80s, we know that, and his voice is instantly familiar even today.

I don't think he is the voice of the "Arizona's News People" opens that was once confused with Casey Kasem.

I'm working on finishing up that Northeastern Trip around Thanksgiving 1992. Still need to find Providence and the rest of Boston, but there still is more to come... (I apologize in advance if there are bits of newscasts - particularly in the middle - missing. Had I known then what I know now...)

Finishing up Abilene/Sweetwater from 1992 + Democratic Convention night coverage from 1992 from the Bay Area...

KTXS (Sweetwater/Abilene, TX) August 27, 1992 6pm

KPIX (San Francisco, CA) July 16, 1992 10:00pm - This was during KCRA and KRON's test of early Prime Time on the west coast starting at 7pm. KCRA and KRON had FCC approval for the early start, so they ran a traditional 35 minute 10pm newscast and the Tonight Show starting at 10:35. KPIX made the switch to early start also, but was not approved by the FCC (and IIRC, outright told "No, they couldn't run Letterman early), so they ended up with a one-hour newscast at 10pm followed by Letterman at 11pm. KGO and KTVU stuck with the traditional 8pm start time, so program ratings were all over the place during this timeframe.

More to come... Don't be surprised when you start getting inundated with 2004/05/06 stuff - I have lots of that timeframe from allover the US...

Is that the WMGM News Package by Gari Media Group? It sounds very much like "The One For All" but with that classic Gari-esque early '90s synthesizer.

This has The One For All's signature, but it's too early to be the WMGM pack. I think this is an update to the original package that we've just never seen before. Seems the NMSA was a bit too hasty reassigning WVIT's listing to The Hour...

(And on that note, yet another example of packs or signatures hopping between stations.)

The Phoenix faucet keeps dripping. Now, a KPHO weather update:

And Beyond strikes again...that song has turned up in some very random places. (Including my personal playlist.)

This is definitely from that golden Gari era where they were basically applying the Allegro orchestra instrumentation to just about everything in its suite save for Advantage (and, now with this discovery, likely because WVIT was using this arrangement of One for All at the same time.)

I truly believe first-gen One and Only energized Gari's clientel and THAT became the flavor of the year/next few years to the point where it became as saturated, and One for All got that WMGM/O and O update. I even wonder if it happened before WMGM picked it up.
