A KTSP news story from 1982 about the then-new carrier current radio station at ASU:

This has to be late in 1982 because of the station's switch of calls and logo. Note the odd news set. I wish he had more of this...

1992 RNC coverage from Houston's local stations: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvwMAYLGvIw

KTVK commercials from 1989, from the guy who has great material but really needs a capture card. The end of the tape is an open!:

I recently came across a rare clip from WSLS-TV. This is from 1986, and features a tease for "The News Tonight" with Ken Surpan and Monica Shuman. The theme you hear in this clip is Tuesday13 from Tuesday Productions which was also used on WDEF, KCCI and others.

Interesting because the NMSA lists WSET as using that theme.

They also list WNCT as using it too (not sure when that was added, I must not pay attention as well as I used to!). Must have been a Park thing?

Speaking of Park, not sure if this has been posted before, but I ran across this on WTVR's YouTube channel...the "Virginia Vote '85".

Unfortunately there's no sign of whatever theme they might have been using regularly at the time, though the election theme is "Declarations Of Independence" from the Network Music library.

Pretty sure they were using the WSLS 1988 theme at the time, but the theme from the WBMG sample on the NMSA. Back when Charles Fishburne returned to anchor a newscast during their 60th anniversary celebration several years back, they played a snippet of the news open in the mid-80s.

I don't know if this was posted before but here's a really nice promo campaign from KCNC from 1988. Probably one of the best if not THE best promo campaigns ever.

This is what Image VII is based off of and was also used by WSET in the early 90s: "This is Virginia, so many sights to see, with friends that you can count on at WSET." I have it stored on a hard drive somewhere. Theirs wasn't nearly as polished as KCNC's.

In fact, Image IX, X, Spirit News and the 1987 update to Image IV are also based off the theme.
