KLFY 10 Eyewitness News at 10pm (Lafayette, LA; Sept. 29, 2012)... ...and one from October 2012 with new intro using the current slogan "Acadiana's Multi-Media News Source (or Station)"... KLFY "Meet Your Neighbor" (noon show), May 2013 (with a new theme [probably production music] and a new voiceover replacing Pat Garrett) KLFY 10pm Newscast, May 2013. The "Eyewitness News" name was dropped although the name is still on the set. Along with that, a new intro, new lower thirds (the Young graphics are still used but for weather) and a new reporter sign off phrase (I'm [reporter name] for KLFY Multi-Media News). 615 Music's "Bulletin" was dropped for a production music track. XHTVM has had a very unusual and contentious history in its 20-year life. It started as the product of a company called CNI that mostly produced news programs. Later CNI entered into an agreement with TV Azteca to create "Azteca 40", run by the two companies. The contract was broken, facilities were retaken (this newscast is from the day when CNI retook full control of the Chiquihuite transmitter), then came an employee strike, the owner's arrest in Houston and a bunch of legal cases. Anchor is Pam McKelvy, who is now with WMC-TV. Weather is with Tim Simpson and sports is with Glenn Carver, both of which are still at WREG-TV. The flag replaced the standard time/temp bug logo for about a year and a half following 9/11. Music is "Image News" by Gari. As you can see, there was severe weather the previous night. I also included a few promos in this video.
