I tried to figure out who they were based on those first 4 or 5 clips.... no telling! They must have a good connection or know someone who does.

Seems he's some sort of collector.. Quoting directly from one of the descriptions.

"Also - I have gotten numerous E-Mails about trading. I'm just a collector, and don't really have a "list" of what I have. But I will work on getting one together in the coming weeks. Please message me on YouTube with any inquiries related to this and keep them out of the comments. Thanks - Mark"

I had this sample 2009 newscast leftover from a job interview at KOAT years ago. This is at least two, maybe three versions ago in Hearst world. It's not HD, but my software just ignores my attempt to save it 4:3 and stretches the picture anyway.

I prefer the second much more than the first one. I'm not even sure Wes Quave even visited Huntsville...

I do like the homage to the old 3 fingers/1 finger of folks at local events that WAAY used to use during newscast closes back into to the 90s.

Looks as if Channel 31 in Huntsville has picked up "This is Home"... No idea if they will pick up the news package.

And another version of the spot with different jingle:

Following up from my post in January about Channel 31 in Huntsville.... They are beginning to use more audio from This is Home and further use of the NPG graphics. Linked below is some type of segment open using a news package cut. Still a guess that they'll transition to the full news package and graphics soon if they haven't recently done so. In my opinion, compared to what's been on the air on that station over time, this is some of the cleanest stuff on the eyes to come out of that place.

Why does that graphics package remind me of KRDO 13?

I know I'm answering to myself, but it's because WAAY 31 is using NPG's ABC affiliates' graphic packages. I don't know why tho since WAAY 31 is owned by Calkins Media, not NPG.

Not too surprising since Entravision and Univision have a good working relationship. Plus, Entravision's Univision affiliates all use some variation of the O&O graphics and music.

KNXV, January 1, 2002:

Pretty much everything would change in a few months: set, anchors, graphics, music. Speaking of which, what is this music theme anyway? It's best heard in the opening tease and in the close.

The day's KPHO newscast is also available, and again, everything was set to change:
