He can deliver the news and is good with banter. They'd at least have attention for all the wabc viewers wanting to see how he will be on channel 2. I'd see him and Mary Calvi (WCBS does not seem to like her) being a very good fit /pairing. See how they do , if they are good together and ratings improve, put them on at noon as well.- Move Kris and Christine to 5pm just along with 11 pm reporting. Move Maurice and Kate, or fire 1 and keep the other to weekends pms. It would be too soon to ever pop up on any newscast around here, even though he is very popular and well-liked. Just an ugly situation for him that he needs to clean up someplace else. Yup... noon and 6 looks a LOT more desirable than 5-7am, and 3 hours of news updates. Plus I'm sure he got paid a load more. But Maurice realized that he had to return to mornings on WCBS if he wanted a job at all. He knows he did poorly in the evening and he ratings were horrible and that no one else would give him a job.
