SterlingNorth 33
It has always been a shotgun marriage -- Allbritton's idea of a Politico for local (DC) news with its already existing DC broadcast properties -- WJLA TV (ABC 7) and NewsChannel8. That marriage ends in divorce today. WJLA.com is back. (News8.net isn't, though). Marketing blah blah blah... http://www.wjla.com/articles/2011/04/new-wjla-com-launches-59333.html http://www.tbd.com/articles/2011/04/new-wjla-com-and-tbd-com-coming-soon-58853.html
tw-804 190
Thank goodness! Welcome back, WJLA.com. Never liked TBD, or as some folks call it "The Big Disaster" or something, LOL (What? I go to DCRTV's mailbag page).

Jess 1110
Looks like a Wordpress-based site... Not a bad thing at all. You'd be surprised how powerful and flexible Wordpress is.
SterlingNorth 33
Dang... if I knew this would become a Front Page feature, would have put a modicum of effort into the post.

SterlingNorth 33
Not worth its own thread, but the senior editor of TBD (who was inadvertently responsible for the name) is now working for the Washington Post as media critic. Yes, before that he was the critic at the Washington City Paper where he was very critical of the Post. I hope he remains very critical of the Post, as the Post deserves all of the criticism it gets.
