Granted, it's not a competitive 2nd (but the same can be said of Channel 5 for the last several years). And granted, it's mostly thanks to huge lead-ins from CBS prime-time shows. But beleive it or not, WBBM-Channel 2 is now tied for 2nd place in the late news ratings. Now just think if they actually had someone good anchoring. Yes, I'll admit, even as a CBS 2 viewer, that I was surprised they beat WABC on a few occassions. As for WBBM, it is even more surprising that they are now in 2nd place.
