KDNL, KETC, KMOV, KNLC, KSDK, KTVI, & WRBU will conduct a DTV test tonight at 6:25. Press Release:

KMOV-TV and local stations to hold DTV test tomorrow

11:26 AM CST on Tuesday, December 16, 2008

St, Louis (KMOV.com) - At 6:25 p.m. tomorrow every TV station in St. Louis will do a five minute test to help you determine if your home is ready for the digital transition on February 17th next year.

Just before the test on Wednesday, turn on all the television sets in your home to a local channel, like channel 4. If your television is ready for the digital transition, you will continue to see programming on that local channel during the test.

If your television set is not ready, you will see a slide warning you that the TV is not ready. That means that without taking certain steps, your TV will no longer work after February 17th.

During the test tomorrow check each TV in your home. Also, pass the word along to family members, neighbors and friends so they can check their television sets as well.

The test will end at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow.

If you receive your television signal through satellite, UVerse or cable, you should be good to go. If you have a television service and you see a slide, contact your service provider. If you receive your local channels through an antenna, and you have an older television, you may need to get a digital converter box and/or a new antenna.
