Larry Henderson, the first anchor of CBC's "The National News" (which would later become "The National", of course) from 1954-59, died last week peacefully at 89. ED1 0 Posted March 20, 2007 Share Posted March 20, 2007 An update to this thread... CBC Vancouver has launched a local half hour newscast at 12:00pm, followed by CBC News Today at 12:30. CBC will be going up against the only other Vancouver-based noon news cast in the region - the Noon News Hour on Global BC.
