KIKA Logo (children's news) in October 2014 live from Studio N2 in ZDF Mainz (Studio N1 is used by Heute Plus at the same time when Logo was aired, usually Logo airs from Studio N1 sharing with Heute, ZDF Info's Heute Plus and ZDF Mittagsmagazin). Look closely at the wooden desk; the desk at Studio N2 is shorter and smaller than Studio N1

For those who wonder where ZDF Heute and the other ZDF news programs exactly broadcast from, take a look at the map in the link below (I found this link some days ago). It is the "gebaeude nachrichtenstudio" (News studio) where in the map it is marked N. I presume they moved there when Heute changed its look in July 2009. Previously it was at the round orange building called "sendebetriebsgebaeude" (broadcast building), marked "SB" in the map.

The ZDF news studio is purpose built and looking at the design they have large stairs in the facade and is painted black. The ZDF logo is at the top of the building. Have a look at some of the pictures: https://www.google.com.my/search?q=zdf+nachrichtenstudio+mainz&es_sm=122&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=cEZKVJTnLcj98AXnk4HIBA&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAQ&biw=1366&bih=643

TV Alhijrah, Malaysia, 2012:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcoAjhCIR9A

TV3, Malaysia, evening news (Buletin Utama), October 2012

This was on the day Buletin Utama had its new look. It lasted for a year and it copies ZDF Heute's set. Their previous look was temporary and lasted for four months (June to September 2012) During the period they move to a newly renovated real set which is located next to the newsroom. The studio they use which is Studio A at Sri Pentas was under renovation. The renovated Studio A is HD ready and is all green screen.

The wooden desk was later replaced with a virtual desk with the TV3 logo at the center of the desk. And the date shown in the screen is in the MMDDYY format (but that doesn't last long). Have a look at my blog post in March 2013 for details: http://hazimworks.blogspot.com/2013/03/this-weeks-media-news-episode-5.html

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLArhzWFVo8

The new look was later replaced by this all-red look which was inspired from BBC in October 2013. This look is also shortlived as the previous; it lasted for eight months, then they change to a new one in June 2014 to concide with TV3's 30th anniversary.

I'll have more videos related to Buletin Utama soon.

And... Yet another recent opener of BR's Rundscau with a slight change in the logo (for a country which is so conservative in news, as WWUpdate says)

Bernama TV, Malaysia, noon news in English, 2014

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifCgu82IfnI

The news theme is from N24 in Germany (I had seen some N24 news opener videos on YouTube and was able to confirm it so that's the reason why I put where the news theme originates from).

This video is part of several of my recent recordings of the openers of some of the programmes that air on Bernama TV, a news channel owned by Malaysia's national news agency Bernama, where you can see it on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/anjungvilla97/videos

So far in my country there are three news channels. They're Astro Awani, Bernama TV and RTM's 1 news. All channels are available via global livestreaming. 1news is only available on Hypp TV (one of my country's TV providers which uses IPTV via high speed broadband for distribution) and livstreaming.

Livestream sites of the news channels I mentioned:

Astro Awani: http://www.astroawani.com/videos/live

Bernama TV: http://www.bernama.com/bernama/v7/index.php (livestream is on the right side of the website)

1news (from RTM): http://myklik.rtm.gov.my/1news

Bernama TV had recently (in October) launched some news bulletins in English and an English talk show called "The Nation". I also spotted that "Jurnal Bernama" (Bernama TV's newsmagazine) had a new look at the same time.

The graphics for WDR's Aktuelle Stunde, WDR Aktuell and WDR Extra (where I saw WWUpdate's post of the WDR Extra video on TV Forum) share a common theme; red rectangle boxes. Even the theme musics of WDR Aktuell and WDR Extra share some similarities to Aktuelle Stunde's.

From Malaysia, circa late 1990s/early 2000s, advertising agency Leo Burnett uses three news openers from TV2, TV3 and NTV7 and an empty news studio to promote its "thank you very, very much press party" for the agency's 5th anniversary, which I presume only shown for advertisers. Only TV2 and TV3 have the clock before their own news openers. The news openers, clocks and news studio in the clips below are real, not fake.

Edisi 7 from NTV7:

Nightline from TV3:

Berita TV2 from TV2:

Some notes:

- All the news openers' themes featured are composed in-house on their own. My favourite one is NTV7's. The news theme lasted from its launch in 1998 until 2004 when Edisi 7 renamed to My News Network.

- TV3's Nightline which airs at 12:00 am local time are the only two English news programs on TV3 besides Business News (now known as Bizworld); the others are in Malay. Nightline started in 1999 replacing News Hour in the mid-1990s (airing at 11 pm and also followed by Money Matters) and preceeding them are the news at 10:30 pm in 1994 and news at 7 pm in 1985.

NTV7, Malaysia, Edisi Mandarin (news in Mandarin; now known as Mandarin 7), 5:30 pm edition (excerpt of a report with closer), 2001:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=civ1zDxVXTE

The closer has NTV7's company registration number 323221A shown in brackets, which is so unusual.

And of course, NTV7's logo at the very end looks very familiar. ;)

It's the Circle 7 logo which is in use since 2001. NTV7 still uses it today with minor changes. The background colour of the logo changed to purple in July 2006, a year after being acquired by Media Prima.
