onthesea 292
A small comparison of the 1pm TOTHs between Todo Noticias (TN) and Canal 13; both channels are owned by Clarín. The headlines on each channel are very different: TN devotes more time to politics, finance, international news, sports and weather, while Canal 13 relies on tabloid features, such as murders, armed robberies or kidnappings. Why the news executives differentiate the contents of these channels?

onthesea 292
When TV news made headlines: on Friday, May 9, 1997, a television photographer called Guillermo Galvan was accidentally shot by an officer at a police station in José Leon Suárez, Buenos Aires. Thankfully, he survived! This is just a portion of coverage from the stations reporting on the story. Note: some of the images seen here could be disturbing.
