LoadStar 363
Shortly before the election, WISN tweaked the right hand side of their set, adding a three-way monitor setup. Tonight, or at least fairly recently, it looks like they changed to a new, VERY clear looking backdrop image behind the main anchor desk, a long shutter speed picture looking down the Hoan Bridge at downtown Milwaukee, with a prominent shot of the U.S. Bank Center. Previously, it was a fairly murky looking, generic "skyline" shot of Milwaukee. Did they in fact add it tonight, or was tonight just the first night I noticed it? This would leave the Weather Center as the last major area of the set to have no changes, and it's due - the monitor behind the desk has seriously ugly burn-in. It's almost completely useless, and just looks distracting on camera. Overall, I think the continual tweaks in lieu of a major overhaul is a good decision - WISN still has one of the better looking sets in Milwaukee, and it's held up well.
