A bit of a surprise in the Upstate of SC and western NC: WHNS (Fox Carolina) appears to be the highest rated news at least in the mornings and late evenings - they have been promoting that. That would be a huge boost for Gray, since they are usually a laggard in the market.

WHNS is a former Meredith station, and those usually tended to do well, WGCL/WANF aside, so that probably helped.

I don't know whether to applaud WAGA for such a strong showing or cringe on their behalf. 😄

 

It'll be interesting to see what happens when WXIA is (eventually) acquired by a company that can turn it around.
