During a recent appearance at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, Fla., Feherty made an off-the-cuff comment that may have spoiled his employer’s future broadcast home. “Have you heard of CW?” he said following his show this past Thursday. He then added, “I might get fired for this, but…” which seems to indicate the deal could be announced soon.

This seems right in line with Nexstar's Conservative values. They are shortsighted and tanking their own business with this retransmission pissing match, meanwhile taking any profit from local stations and funneling it to a little-watched Conservative Talk Network, and now their buddying up to an OPEC country with a history of Corruption and Human Rights abuses. Can we now thoroughly agree that Nexstar isn't the unbiased group owner that they purport to be and that maybe we should press the FCC to force them to be broken up into smaller groups as they are going to not be the stewards of journalism that they claimed their size would allow them to be? No group should be so large as to allow for a lack of competition and steadfast journalism integrity that keeps them on the straight and narrow. I'm beyond tired of Nexstar flagrantly violating the community trust and need for their own gain.

Primetime tape-delays in between The World's Funniest Animals and Penn & Teller? Or will...GASP!!!...CW start carrying weekend daytime sports programming?

I would guess that a significant portion of CW affiliates still carry local sports during weekend afternoons. Tape-delays make more sense.

Try KSTW Seattle and several hours of infomercials and crime drama repeats on weekends. A far cry from their days as a statewide superstation, with movies all weekend long, 10:00 news, great cartoons and sitcoms.
