According to TV listings, NBC’s branding of this year’s midterms election coverage will be ‘Decision 2022: The Balance of Power.’ ABC is sticking with ‘Your Voice, Your Vote’. CBS is using the ‘America Decides’ branding again this year. CNN, FOX News, and MSNBC haven’t updated their listings yet.

Will CBS (and other networks) cut off for local news/late night, I seen Mr. Colbert will be live, but with no time specifics

It’s really a shame that George Stephanopoulos isn’t part of ABC’s political coverage anymore. He’s easily the network’s strongest, most experienced and connected political anchor.

Exactly! Even if Stephanopoulos doesn't have the lead anchor position, he'd still be useful either as David's co-anchor (Like Savannah is to Lester on NBC), or at least as an analyst.

NBC News's election studio set up has really gone flat.

If the Daily Beast is to be trusted, it may be because George didn’t want to be second fiddle to David Muir given the alleged power struggle between them. Bear in mind, that particular piece of gossip is just that, and has not been authoritatively confirmed. That said, if the “chief anchor” debacle is a point of conflict between the two, casting the two as equal co-anchors might’ve solved that.

In fairness, Muir has been doing a solid job as anchor IMO, and Rick Klein has settled into his role as ABC’s political director. Still, not including George in some capacity is a waste.

CBS not supisingly is airing Colbert undoubtebly because of his heavy focus on politics. ABC is airing Jimmy Kimmel with election results at the bottom of the screen, most likely for the same reason. NBC is sticking with news coverage lead by Lester and Savannah. No midterm coverage on broadcast Fox. Never too sure when the regular Fox feels the need to interrupt programming for major news events or not.

I wish (and I mean really wish) the networks would take a page from their UK and Canadian colleagues and redo election night coverage by blowing out the commercials. As a bigger fan of British TV and a fan of British elections, I just wish we could have BBC type election coverage with the “Swingometer” showing overall NATIONAL vote for the house in real time. The chances of any of this ever happening is 0%, but one can dream.

I was wondering about that. Didn't see any coverage on my local FOX station (KPTV) until 10pm newscast. Not even a local results ticker over programming. Is no coverage from FOX standard for midterms? I can't remember. Or is this maybe a cost cutting move?

Probably more to do with World Series scheduling issues than anything else; those shows don't want to be off so long (and it's more apparent as Manfred will eventually gift us a December World Series the way things are going). I wouldn't read too much into it (and KPDX was likely running coverage in lieu of KPTV).

Gotta sell Limu Emu and 'Liberty, liberty, liberty...liberty'. Oh, and more medications. O-o-o-Ozempic, anyone? Don't forget the constant Pfizer PSAs telling us that 'COVID-19 moves fast...and now you can too...'

Locally, only KAPP (ABC) aired live coverage of east coast races from ABC with David Muir, Chris Christie, and others. The others stuck with regular programming except that KIMA aired live CBS coverage in the usual CBS Evening News timeslot. Then went to CBS live coverage at 8PM.
