Edd Kalehoff

Recommended Posts

We all know the many contributions of Edd Kalehoff and his Score productions....from his moog-infused game show themes, to his pounding rock-orchestral masterpieces for everything from Double Dare! to Monday Night Football.  Not to mention his many image campaigns and news themes....

As a loyal viewer of WEWS in the 1990s, his themes were a great addition to the station at the time.

I came to discover that the themes used for The Morning Exchange and Movie 5 were later used as prize cues on The Price Is Right, due to his long affiliation with the show, and as the creator of the legendary theme.

A few years ago,  I found the 1995 WEWS theme on his website...it's now called Firsthand News:

Here's the Morning Exchange theme used at the time.  It's called Sunshine News.  The guitar version was used for the main show, while the horn version was used on the short-lived Weekend Exchange hosted by Leon Bibb on weekend mornings.

One of these was used as a Prize cue on TPIR.

The mystery I've been trying to clear up is what this theme is...it's the Movie 5 theme.  Also used as a prize cue on TPIR as well.

This is the "horn" version

And the "guitar" version
