Tyler, TX: New public radio station

Recommended Posts

KVUT 99.7 FM launched earlier this week as a new NPR affiliate for east Texas.  It is based at the University of Texas at Tyler.  The station's news director is Mike Landess, who has previously anchored at news stations in Denver, as well as KYTX in Tyler.  KVUT-FM will carry NPR programming for those usually accustomed to having to tune to stations in Dallas or Shreveport.  In the evenings, a mix of standards and jazz music will be played.
