Yes, it is legit alright according to Nielsen, as we have shot up three notches from #10: https://mediatracks.com/resources/nielsen-dma-rankings-2021

San Francisco…YOU’RE NEXT!!!!! (as more and more Californians have been leaving the state lately)

I'm aware of the rankings but there have times where undercounts and overcounts have occurred; as a result things were readjusted the following year(s). That's why I said won't believe it until the 2021-2022 ranks come out.

Nielsen changed the way they count tv homes this year, including streaming sources like AppleTV etc for the first time. Markets like Atlanta had been lobbying for that, because they were under sampled due to new viewers with non traditional viewing. This year’s rankings are more accurate than in the past. So no, its not a fluke.

I still don't believe it until I see consistency. I used to live in Atlanta for a decade so believe in oversampling errors, so until I see a trend then I stand by what I said.

Anything from NYC or LA?

Probably status quo as far as WABC and KABC are concerned in their respective markets (though in L.A., it’s been neck-and-neck between KTLA and KCAL at 10:00 pm), with WNBC/KNBC and WCBS/KCBS fighting for second.

We won every time slot in KC in adults 25-54. 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. were close shaves. Some of the morning viewers are coming back as they head back to the offices.

Who’s “we” (can’t be KSHB, as they’ve been #3 or #4)?

Where are these numbers pulled from? If they’re legit, then go job to WCBS and WNBC who I believe have a much better product than WABC these days.
