CBS 2 time & temp bug back at 10PM

Surprisingly, when FOX Chicago decided to dump the time/temp bug on their 9PM newscast almost a couple years back, they actually got e-mails from viewers wanting the time/temp back on the screen.

Believe it or not, alot of people now actually consider the time on the screen during a newcast as one of their actual clocks at home. I find the time bug on a newscast more reliable/accurate than some of my own clocks here at home. After a power outage, I take a look at the time on the screen of a newscast to reset my clocks around the house.

Having the time/temp bug in newscasts nowadays is important.

An in St. Louis, the only station to do it on all of it's newscasts is KTVI.

KMOV and KSDK run them only in the morning, and KPLR (and formerly KDNL) never do.

Personally, I think that time & temp is handy to have on the screen.

These are the stations that do the bug.

WBZ does

WCVB doesn't

WLNE doesn't

WHDH does

WJAR does

WPRI doesn't

WFXT does

KCBS doesn't

WRTV does it as well, except for the first 11 minutes of the 11 pm newscast, where under the logo, it flashes ELEVEN MINUTES OF NONSTOP NEWS.
