Decision Desk HQ has projected that Joe Biden has 273 electoral votes and has won the Presidency.

NBC and CBS are running special reports.

No networks or other news organizations have called the race yet. The writing is on the wall, but I suspect at this point network decision desks are planning on making the call in primetime.

what are FOX's plans for tonight's edition of smackdown? I am assuming a cut-in calling the race for Biden airs as level 1 which would result in either total preemption or punting it to an alternate outlet?

I'm just assuming here, but should that happen, they'd probably move it to FS1.

Probably should've provided a source. Let's fix that.

I wish they would not do things like this and just let the AP followed by the Networks make the call.  They are only siring the pot (IMO) and making things worst by getting ahead of more reliable  outlet. Everything is already chaotic enough without them making premature projection like this  epically when they is will a chance Trump could win.

The only reason the AP hasn't called it yet is because Pennsylvania is still in Recount Territory as it is still at .4%. Once it gets above .5% and higher... The AP is going to call it. That is their only hang up here after reading through how they make calls. The AP wants to but can't because of their rules of calling races.

And if it’s all over on Sunday, Al Michaels will definitely pull a Cosell during and say something like “NBC News has now projected that Pennsylvania is going to Joe Biden, thus electing him the 46th President of the United States”; when Biden makes his victory speech, the game would be moved over to NBCSN with Lester Holt taking over on the mother network (it has happened before with President Obama’s remarks on the Sandy Hook massacre).

*Seems* that it's almost certain that it's going to be called Today, very possibly when the next batch of PA results comes back because of the reasons ColumbusNewsFan stated, but it did also seem likely that it was going to be called yesterday but never was. Should that happen it's going to create conflicts with CFB games on ABC CBS and FOX (NBC has Premier League). We'll see how the major networks handle such a situation, think that they are going to have to shift those games to another network at least for a time.

Can't wait to see all of the complaints from fans who don't get NBCSN.

It's been called now. AP posted on Twitter 5 minutes ago. VP Biden is the winner. Expect network cut-ins any moment now......

CBS ABC and NBC have already been on for roughly 10 minutes. FOX has yet to make a projection so no coverage.

FOX made the call with PA, and NV(NBC and ABC are not calling NV for some reason...) All the Election People are at work at NBC/ABC/FOX but looks like the weekend team is doing the NN cut in?

Well CBS is cutting into the Air Force/Army game right now, so that has probably shifted to CBS Sports Network.

As of right now, ABC is still on with coverage. The West Virginia/Texas game is supposed to be on.

NBC continues with coverage. Don't know if it'll last beyond 12:30 because as you said, they do have a Premier League match, which will most likely move to NBCSN or possibly Peacock...

All of the networks have called the Presidency for Biden. I find it humorous that FOX News hasn't cut in to network programming, while ABC and CBS are blowing out their early football games and NBC is coming up on a soccer match that they will most likely cut into.

Biden's speech will likely take out a good chunk of the Clemson-Norte Dame and Oregon-Stanford games on ABC

Which means that they may be shifted to NBCSN and ESPN+ respectively with the boxing probably on FS2.

He'll be speaking at 8 tonight. CBS has already said they'll carry it. NBC and ABC will more than likely follow suit, pushing football to one of the ESPN networks and NBCSN respectively for at least the first few minutes of tonight's games...

Clem-ND to USA Network until Biden is finished.

It's probably going to be the first time in many years (going back to the channel's early years) that USA Network has broadcast a college football game, or portions of it.

I think the last time they aired football (of any kind) was when they aired World League of American Football (which eventually became NFL Europe) c. 1991-92. I could be wrong, though......

USA aired a game earlier this season due to NBC having multiple scheduled conflicts, when Fox gave them US Open Golf.
