FTVLive is reporting today that Tara Finestone is out from CBS Los Angeles after trying her best to stem the budget cuts from ViacomCBS. It sucks that a leader that stood up against the budget cuts also got the boot, but the principle that she stood up against corporate is something to be applauded for. Here is the link from Scott Jones with the email she sent to the newsroom announcing her departure.

So after just 2 years, they're out of another ND. They definitely have a much slimmer operation now--less anchors, vet reporters gone, no CBSN--but if Finestone was likely trying to stop even more cuts from happening, what else could we see happening down the line? Those behind-the-scenes are definitely the most vulnerable but I'm really sensing an even more unstable future and it's sad for the workers and sad for the viewers.
