Baron system

Question why does different stations that have Baron Lynx use a InTerlink SML-LINK remote instead of using the Baron remote?  I've noticed for example KOTV uses that remote over Baron's and KJRH using the remote Baron has.

Well I use Lynx , and we have the new Baron Remote. Previously when we had Baron Omni we used and SML-LINK clicker as well. So I'm guessing that Baron has a partnership with them or something. And those are a powerpoint clicker company. And on the Scripps side WPTV uses an SML-LINK clicker for it's Baron graphics as well.

It has to do with Hand Tracking. If you have hand tracking, you have the new remote. If you don't, then you have the SMK-Link (I have the SMK-Link at my shop due to no hand tracking.)
