The BBC announced cuts for its News division -- 450 positions (~5%) out of the 6,000-strong division staff. The cuts are a cost-cutting/money-saving decision the Corporation says will save £80 million ($104 million) over the next few years through 2024. Most positions are with its domestic news channel and one notable program, The Victoria Derbyshire Show, will be canceled, while several other shows will have their slots reduced.
