WGAL premiered a new community affairs program last night, In Focus.  They used Studio A for this broadcast.  Brain Busters is not on right now, so not sure what will happen with that.

Interesting thing is, the fine folks at WESH helped to design this set for In-Focus.  The graphics used for it is the same as the news broadcasts.  Here is a FB Live video from Friday morning showing off the set.  Not bad.  Hopefully a Studio B refresh is not too far behind.

Interesting. They already produce PA Newsmakers which is distributed across the Commonwealth. I guess they wanted a more locally focused program for Harrisburg.

Yes it is ... But some interesting things about PA Newsmakers ... I'm pretty sure that is NOT filmed/shot at WGAL.  I think it is done somewhere else.  And also ... it is not broadcast in HD.

Knowing Hearst, the fact that it's STILL not in HD is not too surprising.

Does WTAE carry it?

They don’t produce or own PA Newsmakers,  you can see their website here and they have an extensive underwriter population.

Its produced / recorded at JPL Integrated Communications and has a copyright Newsmaker Productions.  So it sounds like Hearst’s bit is solely their carriage.
