On November 15, 2006, Al Jazeera launched a 24-hour English-language news channel from its Doha headquarters, with programs and news bulletins also coming from bureaus in Washington, London, and Kuala Lumpur. Despite changes in programming, a few changes in the presenter lineup, and the cessation of news bulletins from Washington and Kuala Lumpur, the basic presentation style of the channel was left largely unchanged for 13 years: same music, same set, and (mostly) the same graphics.

To kick off the new decade, Al Jazeera English has undergone the first major relaunch in the channel's history, complete with new music, new graphics, and a new Doha set.

Here's the press release from Al Jazeera.

Here's the intro to the 2300 GMT edition of Newshour, the first with the new look:

The station ID at the top definitely gave me vibes of what they did with the opens for the late Al Jazeera America, but I like the look overall. Still clean and has that Al Jazeera feel but is modern enough that it doesn't feel dated.
