NBC will no longer use ratings to sell ads at it's O&O's including Telemundo...

Beginning this week, all NBC and Telemundo-owned local TV stations will use impressions instead of traditional ratings points to measure an ad campaign’s effectiveness, according to an agency pitch document obtained by Axios.

Oh no, how will everyone complain about whatever company they don't like "destroying" a station once everyone moves away from outdated Nielsen ratings?

Another step towards digital first. OTA TV viewers aren't who smart stations are making programming for anymore.

Does anybody know how this works? Do they use digital impressions to sell TV ads or is there some sort of TV specific "impressions" measurement?

People will watch the newscasts and find that they are no good.

First we had CBS dropping Nielsen (they already use comScore). Now this.

Sounds like a participation trophy to me. Nobody's watching, so we don't want to know our grade.

Can't cancel TV shows if we don't know the ratings (**insert rollsafe meme here**)
