Georgie56 3054
With Preseason kicking off tomorrow with the Hall Of Fame Game, this is the place to talk about broadcasting, announcers, etc.
mrschimpf 2034
Looking at the Packers inter-squad scrimmage tonight, and it looks like they may possibly be using something else this pre-season besides the CBS default of the past few years (no scorebug because everything is untimed/unscored. The animation is the yellow bars sliding left-to-right to reveal the graphic).
ehatt493 31
Colts broadcast same as usual and WNBC still using the previous NBC package for the Giants.
Samantha 2873
There are 11 games tonight and there's plenty to feast on (or throw up about). All quick screengrabs from Twitter highlights:
Viper550 267
Patriots got a new scoreboard that isn't too bad (kinda goes for the wider "SNF 2018" style) Packers also got a new scoreboard. Little underwhelming but slick Side note, Eagles moved to KYW this year.
Samantha 2873
What an underwhelming look for the Packers. The rest of the package is so good but that scoreboard needs to go back in the oven.

AaronQ 259
Panther's preseason games got moved to WSOC-TV. Originally it was on WCCB.
tyrannical bastard 3410
Jacksonville's package is virtually identical to Cleveland's. Is this by coincidence, or is it some kind of shared resource? I can see Jacksonville on WPMI and watching a live feed of WEWS off of a friend's Plex Server.
ehatt493 31
Phoenix broadcast on KPNX going with the NBC "college" look, but replaces the peacock with advertising space. And yes, it appears there are timeout indicators but they're being cut-off my NFL Network's ticker (that has wayyyyy too much overscan space)

Clearly not one of the networks producing this.
Spring Rubber 607
The Bears and Packers are among the most historic teams in the NFL, yet their preseason packages are among the ugliest. Whoever made the Packers package also thinks the current ESPN NFL graphics look good. >_>

Samantha 2873
Eat, Drink and See Murray. Oh gawsh. Seahawks are a downgrade. They had been Fox Sports graphics. Did they change carriers?
Northerner 32
Been curious, in the case of the games using the current Fox Sports look or even a fairly recent NBC college look, do they "borrow" the graphics or do they just pay the network to produce the game on their behalf? Either as practice for their regular season crews or whatnot?

This doesn't look like it came from WTMJ's art department (who is usually the one that handles the preseason graphics), unless they FINALLY broke free of the "everything is shiny all the time" rut that they've been stuck in for the past decade plus. 24994J 5262
Not graphics and not news, but in a first, 'The Tonight Show' will air on 5 Sunday nights following SNF this fall. Whether or not they'll be taped same-day is unclear, though it could go either way. (September 8, October 6, 20 & 27, and December 1)
