Roadgeek Adam 170
Unfortunately, I've suspected this for a while, but Jim Bouton, the controversial Yankee for his writing of Ball Four during his time with the Seattle Pilots, has passed away today at age 80. Al Primo and company signed him for the first time in 1970 and offered him a small salary of $24,000 to work at WABC. He worked there for 3 years, moving to WCBS after being fired by WABC in 1973. He made the comeback to baseball in 1978 for the Atlanta Braves, then returned to WCBS for another year, leaving in 1980. He's been suffering from cerebral amyloid angiopathy, a form of dementia. This is his obituary in the NY Daily News. I loved this man, and the world is a depresser place without him.
