NBC Sports Philadelphia New Studio?

Yeah I saw the make shift newsroom they have set up at Penn's Landing on Barrett Brooks' Instagram. I figured this was coming with the overall renovations going on at the Wells Fargo Center. Would only make sense renovating your space would be part of that.

Any timetable of when the studios will be done? They just said "a few weeks" on air but we know that could actually mean a few months lol

Months is more like it. Main studio is being gutted to the walls and ceiling, new infrastructure going in, additional studios also being built. Essentially a new station is being built while occupied. Talent and some techs go over to the old TCN studio for broadcasts. The project actually has nothing to do with the WFC building renovations, just concurrent.

Any reason why they don’t plan on colocating the studio in CTC?

Logistically why wouldn't they want to be in building and in the same area of all four teams they cover? They're the broadcast partner of three of those teams. They'd be down there most of that time anyway. It would only make sense to be headquartered there.

It's not like they're renting out that space in the Wells Fargo Center, Comcast owns the building. They have a unique situation with in the group they're owned by corporation that owns one of the teams they cover.

Some new details came out about what the new studios will look like:

Philly Sports Talk is the only show NBC Sports Philadelphia placed on hiatus this week, but renovations to the network’s main studios at the Wells Fargo Center have impacted other programs as well.

All the network’s studio shows — including Quick Slants, The Daily Line, Sixers Outsiders, and pre- and post-game shows for the Sixers and Flyers — will be broadcasting from the NBC Sports Philadelphia+ studios on Columbus Boulevard until renovations are completed. That’s expected to happen by the end of the March, just in time for the new Phillies season...

...The studio renovations are the final step in a year-long overhaul that has involved the network’s content floor, business operations, and technical facilities.

Viewers can expect all the network’s shows to look dramatically different when they return to their new studio space at the Wells Fargo Center. According to the network, the shows will have a brighter, lighter feel with an emphasis on team colors and cityscape visuals. The revamped studio will sport a new main anchor area featuring a dynamic LED video monitor wall background, and a demo area featuring a state-of-the-art LED video floor. There will also be various stand-up locations with movable monitors.

Not entirely correct here.  As I understand it, there is a lease involved, albeit between divisions of Comcast. The building would love to get the NBC space back, but the current renovations indicate that NBC isn’t leaving for quite a long time.
