KVII director Malcolm Montgomery passed away suddenly early Tuesday morning at the age of 27, while he was making preparations for that morning's edition of ABC 7 News Daybreak. Steve Kersh, the station's chief meteorologist, disclosed on his Facebook FastCast feature on KVII's Facebook page that the station canceled that day's edition of its morning and 11:00 a.m. newscasts as a result of Montgomery’s death. We at TVNT send condolences to Malcolm's family and the KVII staff.

No day is promised. May he RIP.

He didn't mention which shift he will be assigned; since they have both already left after accepting buyouts, will he be replacing Al Wallace or Jason Lamb?

Should the Patriots win on Sunday, KDKA should just put up a "Technical Difficulties" slide during the trophy presentation to spare Western Pennsylvania from seeing the Patriots collect their 6th trophy.

You remember that commercial shoot I mentioned at WKMG? Where I met everyone?

They're chunking up a good amount of promotional blitz for it. If you take a look at their youtube, you'll get to see some of the people News 6 'got results' for. They'll be featured on Sunday's ad, and the ads going forward.

And here's the behind the scenes stuff.

[that one features me. I'm the one holding the phone recording Troy and Lisa recalling a story about his new car.]

mhmmm... Something tells me that Scripps is seriously looking at forming a duopoly in Denver with KMGH and KCDO

Looks like this has been going on since May:

I really wouldn't put much thought into this. KCDO is a one-off station that has always done some odd things.

As anticipated, the Superbowl drew drastically low ratings, especially in New Orleans.  Overnight numbers showed the game drew rougly HALF of prior Superbowls and even some regular season games on local New Orleans TV.

I think the NOLA fans won the Superbowl.  They got screwed by the refs by the no call, and the game was an absolute shit show for the NFL.

Didn't they move John Snell & Nancy Parker to the morning news? Are they being ditched since the sale to Gray?

Sorry for the late response, but John and Nancy are still there. I haven't seen the now-9 to 10 am hour yet.
