At least one Pence is leaving a dumpster fire. I find her timing (International Women's Day) vis a vis her uncle's unchecked misogyny to be quite coincidental.

Back on topic, given WTTV's rating woes I wonder if their time with CBS will be akin to what happened in Seattle 20 years ago. I know there's a few years left but I think Nexstar would kill to get CBS back on WISH if they could.

As long as Tribune is willing to pay, CBS is staying put on WTTV.

I heard from KSHB that GM Brian Bracco is retiring.

Is this another infamous KSHB "retirement" or is he actually retiring? Either way, I've heard really good things about him, but he simply failed at turning that station around. Granted Scripps played a huge role in that with The Next, but Bracco just couldn't make up for it. Their ND will likely be gone next.

Man, they are dropping like flies here in Milwaukee. Not literally, but it seems all of the veterans are all retiring. Within the last several months, we've had John Malan (Weather, WTMJ) and Tom Pipines (Sports, WITI) both retire, and now Mike Anderson (News, WISN) announced his retirement as well. This follows not long after Vince Condella (Weather, WITI) retired mid-last year.

This list doesn't even include Kathy Mykelby (News, WISN), who announced a little while ago that she was scaling back, but doesn't plan to immediately retire quite yet.

Too bad. Robb was really good and fell right on in. WIS has had a big turnover of talent in the past 3/4 years. Management is running this powerhouse into the ground.

Something happened between Monday and whenever Robb's bio got taken down... I was trying to see if he had posted anything on his Facebook page and he was touting the WeatherFest 2017 and the WIS-TV green screen they were going to have there... That was posted on the 6th... Interesting...

This had to have happened on Tuesday. He was posting WIS weather updates until Wednesday. A complete 360 of riding bikes and a "Cashmeousside" to find out how the weather is. He also responded to someone and said he may be heading back to Indianapolis. I'm wondering what happened to cause this. It's just too strange.

Another new Telemundo affiliate is about to launch this summer.

Cox's WSOC 9 is launching Telemundo Charlotte on its subchannel 9.2 on June 1st. Laff is moving to WAXN 64.4.

The Observer said that it wants to add a newscast on the subchannel in the future, but wants to conduct research first.

It's about time that Charlotte got a Spanish network affiliate of its own. That market was long overdue for one.

I'm gonna guess now... local news at 11:00pm to kick it off and then will add 6:00pm afterwards. Just my prediction.

Do they have 2 studios and 2 control rooms? Can they go live on both channels at the same time?

David Bernard is well known to many South Floridians from his time at WFOR-TV as chief meteorologist, but most recently he returned to his former stomping grounds -- New Orleans -- where he was the morning meteorologist at WWL-TV prior to moving to WFOR-TV. He has recently been the weekday morning meteorologist for WVUE-TV in New Orleans where he replaced Chris Franklin whose contract was not renewed by WVUE-TV and Raycom Media management. Now David will make another move at the FOX affiliate as Chief Meteorologist. He will be replacing longtime Chief Meteorologist Bob Breck. Bob's retirement is effective beginning March 2, 2016 after 35-years at the station.

I had no idea about Finnerty. I wonder if KCTV failed to find it in the background check before they hired him, but found it after the fact.

Holy Lost Luggage!

They should have an entire baggage claim area named after them.
