WTEN's Nicol Lally, after nearly 13 years, has parted ways with the station, but not for the reasons you'd think. Her husband, Jason Tapp, is now the assistant men's hockey coach at Dartmouth College. Tapp had spent the last decade as an "associate" (goalie) coach at Union College, winning the 2014 Frozen Four in the process and helping make the idea of goalie coaches at D-I college hockey a mainstream idea.

Hey Hearst, if you want someone to staff your Upper Valley bureau for WMUR and WPTZ, I know just the person for it!

WTEN’s revolving door seems to be working fairly well.

The funny thing is outside the meteorologist role it's been pretty stable in mornings for them. Not unlike WRGB which still hasn't recovered from Ed O'Brien passing away or WNYT which has as much of a revolving door. Last I checked they were neck in neck with 13 in the mornings.

I was going to say Nicol and Christina have been on the constant on the morning news. Sad to see her leave. Hope they pull from within for the third anchor.

Who was neck in neck with 13?  If you meant WTEN that’s incorrect.  I believe WRGB is much closer to 13 in the morning.

For those of you in the Milwaukee viewing area, FOX 6 pulled out all the stops for WakeUp anchor Nicole Koglin, who is departing the station after 15 years, which she announced four months prior in March. Today was her last day and she'd been anchoring from home for several months, but the station put up a desk outside the studio for her to be with people one last time on-air. Anyone leaving a station is difficult to watch, but if you're a fan of hers, you can check out what they did for her on her last day today: https://www.fox6now.com/fox6-wakeup-news/saying-goodbye-to-nicole-koglin-fox6-crew-wishes-her-well

  • There's going to be a new Chief Meteorologist at the Rio Grande Valley's NBC 23 (KVEO). The RGV's NBC Station has hired WHNS (FOX 21) Meteorologist Issac Williams to be their new lead weathercaster for the Early Evening and Late newscasts. No word on what KVEO will do about Robert Bettes who is currently the stations Chief Meteorologist.
  • And Pittsburgh's CBS 2 (KDKA) is adding more news to its lineup. KDKA will add a 7:30pm half-hour newscast to its current 7pm news that will now run from 7-8pm. The station will have Megan Schiller the 7pm half-hour newscast that will replace the nationally syndicated show EXTRA with Billy Bush. KDKA's expanded news is set to launch August 17th.

Correction: CBS Evening News airs at 7pm.

That leaves Dr. Phil as the only syndicated show in KDKA’s lineup.

NBCUniversal lays off Maria Celeste Arraras (host of Telemundo's Al Rojo Vivo con Maria Celeste and formerly of Noticiero Telemundo), Rashel Diaz (Telemundo's Un Nuevo Dia), KVEA main anchor Ana Patricia Candiani and KVEA reporter Martin Plascencia. You might remember Arraras from Univision's Primer Impacto, a news program she hosted with Myrka Dellanos until 2002.

What did the post say about Allison  @CLT-DCA-ORF-PTI? It’s not avail now.

A friend of Allison's said something about how Allison was pushed out, for younger talent, and how management prefers Holly Morris, and Erin (Don't know the last name), etc. It was a lot in the post. I'm sure there will be more insight on it in the coming days.
