A communications tower in Lincoln, Nebraska, might be going back up after it toppled a year ago.

Speedway Properties, which bought the land for nearly than $1.1 million last month, is assessing the feasibility of building a new tower on the site.

The existing 500-foot tower's collapse affected telecommunications services as well as two television lessees, stations KFXL (which was put out of commission for three months) and K18CD-D (which repeated KSNB and just relaunched as CW affiliate KCWH-LD). There's still no word on why the tower collapsed. As crews worked to dismantle it, a spark started a fire in the TV transmitter shack which caused an additional $100,000 in damage.

Politics aside, I've had communications with Ketterer every once in a wild and the guy's kinda batsh*t. And also a fringe conspiracy conservative (despite once running for Congress as a Dem), so I wouldn't put it past him to come forward like this with political motivations in mind.

I think one of the TVNT users with a YouTube channel and a capture card should try to record and upload the 43@50 half-hour special on their channel. It would seem like a good watch.

I happened to discover it on YouTube...definitely worth a watch if you grew up watching WUAB...

I especially liked the tongue-in-cheek commentary by Mike Polk about the "block" years, and even took jabs at the adver-tainment that was a part of it. (Even though this was about the time I gave up on them...)

Same goes for all of the logos they went through over the years.

Romona Robinson is leaving WOIO/WUAB at the end of the year, according to Cleveland.com. She said it's her decision.

They've been trying to phase out Romona in favor of Tucker and Tanaka for the past year ever since Romona gave up the 11pm newscast. Since Romona is no longer getting focus at WOIO/WUAB, it makes sense that she leaves on her terms.

Rich Lieberman reporting KTVU GM Out! He previously came from WFXT after the Cox switch 4 years ago.

Isn’t this the same GM that FTVLive says is rarely seen in the office but somehow knows everything?

KOVR-TV crew robbed after 5:00 a.m. live shot in Davis, Calif.

https://www.sacbee.com/latest-news/article219495645.html

So why didn't the story include a picture or description of the camera and tripod?

I'm sure the station has other cameras and tripods of the same make and manufacture.

Show the viewers what to look for...maybe you catch the mopes at the same time.

KLAS-TV Las Vegas has added a half-hour newscast at 3:00 p.m. this past Wednesday. No surprise considering that Las Vegas NOW (now just a half-hour at 3:30 p.m.) has suffered from poor ratings and technical problems from the start.

Its now the third in the market with KVVU still being all alone at 4:00 p.m.
