ColtFromGulfcoast 695
Also it could meaning that KSMOTV becomes Independent Becoming Independent? They already are independent. All MNT stations are, if you want to know the truth. My Network TV could move to a Sub Channel on WDAF meaning more Newscasts for Fox 4as well And why would this move happen? As much as MNT isn't a network, at the same time, it really would make no sense for WDAF to put MNT on a subchannel (A subchannel that would probably otherwise be broadcasting content from a diginet since most, if not, all of the syndicated product in KC is probably already claimed. They could do what Hearst did a couple years ago and start broadcasting second runs of talk/court/other shows on the subchannel but that would be an unlikely move. If for any reason, KSMO decided to jettison MNT to just put other shows on from 8-10, or whenever they broadcast the lineup and it were critical that MNT remain in the market (Any station could buy all the rights to every show on MNTV, since they also air in traditional syndication), It'd probably go over to KMCI first, or maybe on KCWE or WDAF late at night, but not a sub. Now I don't have to wait for the graphic. Anybody got dirt on her yet...or do I have to look her up myself? Is she a felon? Does she text and drive? Is she from AZ cuz she looks like some woman from Gilbert. Does she have any dirt on Janet Zapalla? Oh I just read her bio... Looks kinda boring.

Info Junkie 1285
WNYT has named Asa Stackel as its new morning anchor, to replace Phil Bayly. Was kinda expecting that from the start, as Dan Bazile is one of those weekenders who is kinda like Rob Jennings (meaning the weekends are his shtick.) Also, sadly, I think Ed Hopkins’ voice is starting to go... he does sound a bit raspy here. Will definitely be an end to an era here as he’s been their VO since 1985 (and possibly even earlier - see this 1983 ID): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1izFFbhHLg

A little deeper, perhaps. Not much different from when my station was using him in the late '80s-early '90s. Certainly not as raspy as Charlie Van Dyke.

johnnya2k6 171
If WGCL can keep their momentum up because they beat WXIA for third place in November . They've tied with WSB at noon.Their morning EP put a message out saying their 4:30am tied with WSB for #1. With it being a revolving door hoping the new management will keep things right and build off of that. It was time for Ben to go he can do his conspiracy theories rants on other platforms, but he had to know how the outcome was going be. As for who sits next to Sharon Reed somebody should school management who John Bachman is and he worked at WSB TV. CBS46 has the momentum keep it going they're passing WAGA & WXIA different days on it newscast..It their time to make those money moves & stop making stupid moves. I dunno; from what I've been seeing, viewers have been warming up to Sharon Reed and Tracye Hutchins (who survived many comings and goings herself at CBS 46, from Scott Light (now on WBNS) to Stephany Fisher (who, despite all the talk of her coming to Fox 5, became a freelancer at the Washington Post and now does PR for MARTA) to now Swann). Oh, and didn't I read something that CBS 46 even beat WSB (and probably Fox 5) at noon? Good luck on Channel 2 trying to spin that!

J1975am 208
As of this past Monday (Feb. 5), KARK in Little Rock, AR, has started an hour-long 4p newscast. This newscast replaced an hour of "Judge Judy." And BTW, it turns out KARK was running TWO hours of "Judge Judy" from 3 to 5p. Now one hour of the show every day is fine with me, but not two!! I wonder what gave them the idea to run two hours of the show on weekdays!! Weird!!
