So there a breaking story on FTVLIVE.com but it does sounds like he HATES FOX O&O; if you ever read his stories he calls it "The Firm" base of the novel/movie. Not only is he snarky, but at times he out for blood too.

If you'd look into it more...you'd see it's because of how they've been treating their employees. Everyone is under a gag order...and they've been pushing to bust the unions at the union stations.

I personally prefer newsblues over FTVLive. They even give the link to the current DMA rankings from nielsen.

FTVLive is regularly out in front of everyone I've found...and for free lol. I cancelled my N/B subscription and never looked back.

I agree he does some eye-opening stories about what going on at xyz operation I'll give him that. However, I do wonder if there's an ax to grind with certain companies because he applied for a job, and was turn away. Idk, but you're right about that.

I know KTRK has been one of ABC's most struggling O&O's, and if this story gains any traction, they could be in for a bigger fight back to dominance...or even 1st place.

They are being pretty rough on him in that comments section. I expected a nicer send-off from the likes of Houston.

KSHB's Justin Wilfon is moving to Atlanta, to be weekend anchor at WSB-TV.

And how many days now we've been going without any news regarding Stephany Fisher and Fox 5? Are they saving the big announcement till after the season premiere of "Empire" or something (Please, for the love of God, don't let it be "Channel 2 Action News at 4:00 with Craig Lucie and Stephany Fisher")?

How many struggling O&Os does ABC have? And are the ABC O&Os starting to struggle too?

Sinclair's doing the same thing and FTVLive is barely reporting on that

FTVLive isnt the first source I check, and how many connections does it have? At least newsblues gives information on each market and provides a brief statement as to what the news stories of the week are so I can copy them and paste them (even if they arent the first, but better right than first if you cant choose both)

When are more stations going to be added onto newson?

Go to the "Local News on Roku" thread in the "Breakroom" section. I've been posting news about stations joining NewsON and stations creating their own Roku channel. The latest add was like 15 stations from Sinclair including 5 new cities.

WBTV's new Morning Break show which I posted about earlier will be an hour and it will replace Flip My Food and Fix It and Finish it, which apparently got cancelled. They had previously renewed the shows for 2 more years. Smart of WBTV to expand local programming instead of spending for more syndicated fare.

I think had it not been for Dave Ward and Marvin Zindler, KTRK would have remained a non-factor in Houston.

I guess Dave Ward didn't have a "lifetime" contract like his former co-worker. And it was Dave Ward who hired Zindler in the first place!

I kinda knew the signs for Fix it and Finish it demised once Antonio Sabato Jr. was at the RNC last month. He himself said he thought he was blackballed because of that. Whether that had to do with the show cancelation, time will tell. I for one kinda like the show.

Stephen Colbert is reportedly in talks wit CBS' sister network Showtime for an uncensored Election Night special promising some "curse words". Showtime' boss thinks it will happen. Additionally he will be live after two of the three presidential debates on the network.

This definitely sounds like an interesting concept - he could combine comedy with reports from CBS News' correspondents. The correspondents could be a little more loose compared to what they'd be on the network - kind of like the discussions MSNBC had with their "road warriors" after midnight or 1AM during the conventions and some elections.

I'd also like to see one of the networks do a

like Sky News did during the 2015 general election. They showed the control room, correspondents getting ready, how calls are made and many other aspects of a broadcast.

Well we have allowed the entire process (elex) to be perverted up to this point. Why not take the whole thing over the cliff.

As much as I want to say "bad idea" all I can do is watch.

I would hope some sane person in CBS news has said "no"...but who am I fooling?

maybe CNN can get Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper to do their act on the big night.

"Ohhhhh Hanging Chads....ohhhhhh".

The only permanent weekend news pairing I've ever known and watched at WGN Television, Robert Jordan and Jackie Bange, is about to be broken up.

Robert Jordan plans to retire after 43 years with WGN-TV next month, September 25th.
