The forecast isn't good for WPSD meteorologist Tori Shaw-Smoyer, who has been arrested for running a pot-growing operation at her home. Her contract was to expire at the end of the month and not be renewed.

This is awesome. From being a meteorologist, to being pushed out her door at WPSD, to now running a pot-growing operation and now... going to jail and possibly not get a job as a TV meteorologist ever again with this arrest and accusation.

Isn't the TV news business, great?

Paula is a constant figure in Vegas Television and is one that is mean to be respected, trusted and honored. She has been a fixture there for almost 3 decades (I thought she was there longer) and this retirement is well deserved.

Coincidence with the date of the retirement, I hope this is a joke (but probably isn't).

She was super hot in 1985 when she arrived in Vegas at CH-13....

Her name then was Paula Dillworth.

She still didn't out last Dave Burbon and Rikki Cheeze.

She knows that once you cut the Chopper...wardrobe/hair is next to be cut...

One smart woman....good luck to her....and ya...she is still hot.

Watch many people will leave once Nexstar takes on Media General Stations. A mass exodus of people will leave or be force... Good Luck, to those employees.

Competing with WCVB, Sunbeam's WHDH will launch a new 7pm newscast on March 7th.

This move is also in response to NBC announcing that the Access Hollywood/Extra pair will move to "their station" effective the start of next year. Whatever show gets the shaft will probably get some fringe slot on WLVI for the time being.

The main anchor who replaced Mike Barajas in 2011 is out. Former CBS & NBC News correspondent Don Teague is no longer

at Houston's KRIV FOX 26. Melinda Spulding who also anchors the 5 & 9PM Newscasts will anchor solo until the station finds a

replacement.

More like "WBZ News at 8 on 38 the CW" once WHDH gets a 10pm news.

Nope. If WSBK does CW, there's no chance of CW delaying programming because of CBS owning 50% of CW. They have the chance now to do 8pm news under MyTV, but now they won't and once it gets CW, it can add 7pm news to its already daily 10pm news offering (which btw is last in the Boston TV news race at 10pm - compared to WLVI, WFXT, WMUR and WBIN)

Don't forget, CBS Corp. still allows KOVR to program CBS programming from 7-10pm PT. I think that CBS can make an exception and allow WSBK to experiment with a 9-11pm slot for the CW.
