ToriElectra 291
Don't forget, Rogers also joined KYW during their ill-fated revamp back in 91, displacing Linda Gialanella; he left in 97, just before the EWN return in 98; Tom LaMaine replaced him for a while before moving to the mornings; not sure who became their evening weathercaster then. (I'm guessing that how he got to WCBS.)
tyrannical bastard 3410
David Rogers worked at WKYC from 1997 to 2000, when he jumped to WCBS. He was later fired from WCBS because hit and ran over two construction workers on the interstate....one critically while under the influence. bammy9 26
The Jacksonville Business Journal is reporting that former WTEV/WAWS anchor Mark Spain has found a new job. Spain's new job is not going to be in Florida, and he is supposedly anchoring the evening news. He will not announce his new position until his new station makes a new announcement. http://www.bizjournals.com/jacksonville/news/2015/03/25/mark-spain-leaving-jacksonville-to-return-to.html
GAnews 2
Well its been a year so that mean WGCL has to make a change. They have stopped using The Enforcer for their opens and have picked up 615's High Velocity. I have no idea why they did this. Sorry I am unable to provide video. Geoffrey 777
WFAA in Dallas has hired Mike Leslie as a sports reporter: https://twitter.com/wfaasports/status/581131542451326976 He'll begin April 6th and will be taking over for the recently retired George Riba. https://twitter.com/MikeLeslieTV/status/581126753428463616 / He was most recently in Charlotte, where he was a host on ESPN 730. TVNewsLover 714
Jonathan Elias 6 & 10 pm anchor at CBS owned WBZ headed to WJLA as main anchor: http://newenglandone.com/news/local-news/item/919-jonathan-elias-leaving-wbz-for-wjla-in-dc.html "Main anchor". What happens to Leon Harris? WBZ is totally screwed for a replacement when they have nobody ready to promote but foresight isn't their strong suit. Not sure perhaps splitting the evening shift? Or maybe Leon is going to the 24 hour network? I'm sure Jonathan would've stayed had he not been pulled from the 11 pm newscast. He has a clause in his contract which states he can leave WBZ early if he is pulled from the 11 pm newscast which happened last August. I actually thought Paula & David would do the 5 pm in addition to the 10 pm, while Jonathan would slide from the 5 pm show to the 6 pm and continue to anchor the 11 pm show. Gordon Peterson is retiring, so Elias is likely his replacement. Will Leon Harris be doing what Jeff Barnd did? Becoming a national reporter for the Sinclair chain? Let face it you can't get older at this company because for some reason they seem not to care for someone who gets 50+ who on camera. I don't know why, because David Smith like 60, and he no spring chicken. Another theory: Will Jonathan Elias anchor 4,6pm and Leon handle the 5 & 11pm shows? I think this seems like the more likely scenario. Perhaps Maureen will join him at 4pm? I believe I read that he would be joining Maureen, Leon, and Alison, so it doesn't seem like Leon's going anywhere. I thought they might have been testing out Scott Thuman for the job as he had anchored at 4pm recently a few times. https://www.bostonherald.com/inside_track/the_inside_track/2015/03/new_adventure_for_bz_anchor_jonathan_elias_in_dc According to this article it appears Jonathan is heading to WJLA as the top evening news anchor. Could it mean he's replacing Leon on the 5 & 11 pm shows, and Leon will continue at 4 and join Maureen at 6? And as you said perhaps Maureen adding 4 pm anchor duties. Anybody know what's going on at WJLA? Leon Harris and Alison Starling are anchors of the 4pm, 5pm, and 11pm news, while Maureen Bunyan anchors at 6pm, and Jonathan Elias on his way in to anchor one or more of the evening newscasts. But it seems like they are they testing pairings. I've seen Kimberly Suiters filling in for both Leon and Alison at 4pm (while Leon/Alison are NOT off as they appear on the 5pm), and the same deal with Scott Thuman and Autria Godfrey filling in on the 4pm. Meanwhile, I think their weekend evenings is still vacant since Kendis Gibson left for ABC.

Well WJLA is supposedly hiring another former CNNer : http://www.ftvlive.com/todays-news/2015/3/27/dc-station-to-hire-former-cnn-sports-guy-to-anchor-news Larry Smith would co-anchor the morning newscasts. Either Jummy or Autria and perhaps one of them will get bumped down to reporter?. But from reading your previous post you state Autria has been filing in on the 4 pm. So perhaps Autria is moving to the 4 pm, and Larry is replacing her on the morning shift?.

KRAP-TV 145
Rodney Ho at the AJC is reporting that Stephany Fisher, primary anchor for WGCL-TV in Atlanta, is probably on her way out... http://radiotvtalk.blog.ajc.com/2015/03/29/stephany-fisher-may-be-out-at-cbs46-after-12-years/ I read somewhere (was it here?) that Sharon Reed was spotted at the studios there recently... and I hear Karyn Greer is looking for a new job as well... Breaking News 794
@Rasta Farian why would they get rid of Stephany Fisher? She been the familiar face on the ever changing CBS46/CBS Atlanta. For Karyn to go back to the station she started when it was an Indy outlet to CBS affiliate I can see that. As for Sharon Reed, because FTVLIVE.com reported she was spotted meeting with station execs. Stephany has been a main stay with the station for 12 years. tyrannical bastard 3410
More astonishing is that the station was still using the WeatherPlus brand. Probably one of the last stations that used the interface and software to run the channel, which long outlasted the original channel and concept itself. WPMI kept theirs going until late 2013-early 2014, but it was re-branded as "The Weather Authority Network" soon after the national shutdown, using the same template and software as WeatherPlus, but with a branded look that matched the station's branding.
