ToriElectra 291
I'm starting to wonder at this point if Dick Goddard is immortal or a cyborg or something. Here's to many more years.
rkolsen 1675
WBAL's Rob Roblin and his longtime photographer Ken Brown Sr are retiring next week. Rob Roblin has been with WBAL for 30 years and Ken Brown has been with WBAL since 1968. http://m.wbaltv.com/congratulations-to-rob-senior-on-career-well-done/30156798
Rusty Muck 4157
I'm starting to wonder at this point if Dick Goddard is immortal or a cyborg or something. Here's to many more years. He may be on the air until he goes to that Great Woolybear in The Sky. The same thing pretty much happened with Dorothy Fuldheim... she was at WEWS every day until she tragically suffered a stroke at her desk. It should be noted that Dick has reduced his on-air presence to the 6pm weeknight newscasts in a Johnny Carson-type ceremonial schedule. Melissa Mack and Andre Bernier do the majority of work on WJW's evening newscasts, especially in the event of severe weather.
TriangleTriadMediaNews 267
When all is said and done, I think Dick along with Regis and Betty White will be the last three standing.

Samantha 2876
It's not exactly local news but it certainly is interesting. Leaked Sony Pictures emails detail the impact of Thursday Night Football on Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy and also attempts to create a Jeopardy-NFL tie-in category while said Thursday night games hurt WoF/J! ratings. rkolsen 1675
Vanessa Herring, most recently of WROC in Rochester, has since August been freelancing at WUSA in DC and WBAL here in Baltimore. Today she filed two reports for WBAL in there 11PM broadcast. Her first story led the broadcast was breaking news where she reported live from BWI airport about a Southwest Airlines flight which had a bird strike during take off which forced the pilot to declare an emergency and return back to the airport. The second was about a Ferguson protest in Annapolis where she interview the mayor. Then I discovered when looking at her twitter feed she covered a story at WUSA this morning but it didn't pan out. She was at the DC courthouse where a groper of a 12 year old girl was expected to go on trial, but the trial was delayed until next week. Consequently she didn't have a package but appeared in a short 28 second VOSOT during the noon news.

Samantha 2876
I'd at least add Bob Palmer (though he did jump stations a bit), and maybe Bill Close (though I think Close's ability to be iconic was hurt by the market he was in). formeraa 2
I would definitely add Jean Enersen at KING to this list (With 42 years at the primary evening anchor, Jean is/was KING's Queen).
NEOMatrix 1295
How about Tom Holden at WKBN? He not only embodied the station ethos at the time but also the Youngstown area itself. He anchored from 1972-2005 and his legacy is still alive at WKBN to this day.

Every market has at least one giant of broadcasting that served as the voice of the region in the 20th century. We get it. Not to get all bitchy about it.
