"News 2000" by Music Partners

Recommended Posts

Yep, you read that right. I'm presenting you some "News 2000" by Music Partners, which is most notably used by Atlanta's ABC affiliate, WSB-TV; the station's newscasts (titled "Channel 2 Action News") used News 2000 from 1998 until 2009, when they decided to go with "Coverage" by 615 Music.

Now I'm pretty sure there are other cuts of News 2000, but these two cuts are the ones that I'm familiar with the most:

WSB should’ve kept this theme longer.. it’s the signature theme for the station. In the same vain as:

KABC, KTRK, WABC - eyewitness news

WPVI- MCTYW

The theme reminds me of WRDQ-TV 27 in Orlando when they used that theme under the Action News brand; but was produced by WFTV before adopting the Eyewitness News brand.

I hope someone can one day find and post the version WRDQ used for their Action News at 10 opens, it's a bit different than the actual primary theme.
