2018 NFL Season

It's time once again, for football. And now you don't need a Verizon phone to stream it either.

Unsurprisingly, NBC's got the new SNF-specific graphics from Super Bowl LII for the Hall of Fame game -- one of the few Thursday night games they'll even air at all this season thanks to losing the package in full to Fox.

BAL: Feels like 2017...

BUF: Based off the look from 2017 but really competent.

CIN: This again?

NYG: Good: NBC Sports. Bad: Those down-distance markers.

PHI: Solid visual chops but wasted space and feels heavy...

I think the Baltimore look is based on their stadium package. I seem to recall seeing Ross Video promoting their stadium scoreboards with the same style. They started using it when they no longer aired on them CSN which was a modified NBC package. They used the same style but the feather used to indicate the down and direction was repurposed as it aired on more on non NBC stations.

New look for us this year. Scorebar blows. Never been a fan of full banner scorebars, especially when they're as gaudy as this. Everything else though is fine. A lot of the elements remind me of CBS' TNF package.

IMO, rule number 1 with a horizontal score bar is that you never EVER want to block the very top or bottom of the screen with an opaque graphic. The top and bottom of the screen should always be translucent if covered by a graphic, or the graphic should just be padded away from the edges of the screen. It makes the display area feel cramped otherwise.

Either Saints or Jaguars got the new Fox Sports graphics.

Jaguars moved to WFOX this year; and the Saints are on WVUE.

That would be the Saints... Here is Jacksonville and it is not pretty.

Surprised they aren’t using the NBC package. Aren’t they on WCAU ?

Chargers still using the MNF package but they made the scoreboard into a bar rather than the usual full-width "banner"

Shockingly, the Seahawks actually got a new scoreboard this year, after having previously used Fox graphics the past few seasons. Although it still seems to be based off the insert graphics they had been using for a while now; it feels like a blend of SNY with the now-old NBC graphics

Colts, Texans, Bucs: Same as last year

Bears: Almost the same, except now at the bottom and tweaked a bit
