Likely because the WOIO-produced 7am newscast on WUAB has not fared well against WJW and the WOIO-produced 10pm newscast won't fare well against WJW either (which was why WOIO shifted the 10pm newscast to 9pm several years ago)

The 7am news looks to have been a victim of excess infomercial inventory.

And looks like I nailed it with MyTV being shunted to 1am, lol

Where's this coming from? Your getting information that's not posted online or on TitanTV yet so I'm impressed.

Thanks for the compliment. I got WUAB'S schedule from Zap2It, and WBNX'S from it's schedule page on its website. Once you go to July 16 on both, you'll see the changes.

Time Warner in Dayton didn’t add it until the mid 1990s - Dayton was served under Time Warner Mid-Ohio with Columbus until the early 2000s and being reorganized to Cincinnati. I recall getting WUAB, WCMH, WBNS and WWHO with Cincy and Dayton locals.

No WSYX or WTTE? I know in Dayton cable they got all Cincinnati local channels in the 90s. I didn't know that Dayton had reach of Cols/Cleve-WUAB on Time Warner. I remember WUAB on Columbus they listed in Columbus tv guide. Around 2005ish?? When WUAB was discontinued from all Columbus cable outlets, but did Dayton cable ever discontinue getting the Cincy local channels?

Yes! WKRC and WXIX are still widely available, along with WCMH and WBNS... however when NBC owned WCMH they asked to be taken off the Dayton city lineup to focus on Columbus. The Columbus locals are still available in Dayton’s northern suburbs however, while Cincinnati is available throughout the system.

WWHO was taken off the lineup in Dayton in 1999 when WDPX pushed Pax to a secondary affiliation and joined The WB. Before that - WWHO was the market’s WB affiliate.

And the Spectrum Guide on my TV has the new schedules.

Now that leaves one more question; will Raycom try to run a two-1080i signal, or will the CW be stuck in 720p? I'm sure it'll be the latter, but it'll be interesting to see if they attempt two 1080i signals.

At one time, I remember WBNX was available on cable in the Youngstown area. This was before WFMJ started WBCB (I think that started only on cable as one of the WB +100 stations then got a .2 on WFMJ as a CW± affiliate)

They also carried WOIO and WUAB (WOIO was a relic of their former FOX affiliation, and FOXNet was carried until WKBN started WYFX)

WUAB went away when 33.2 signed on a local My network affiliate...

"WBCB" has been on WFMJ 21.2 since its sign on in 2004.

their new logo looks like it should belong to an O&O.

More like a CW+ affiliate in the middle of Montana. It looks like they hued to the 2006 logo stylebook that brought out a mess of uncreative 'flat kelly green CW (city and channel)' logos, when most <100 affiliates have long abandoned it for some extra touches.

The CBS-owned CW affiliates still brand in this style, more or less. It was the Tribune-owned affiliates that either revived old branding (KPIX, KTLA, KWGN kinda/sorta) or did different branding that heavily emphasized the call letters (WSFL, WDCW).

With very few exceptions, a lot of the CW affiliates have a very canned appearance to them. Some simply use the network package at the local level and slap a canned logo on it.

WBNX has sure had a lot of work to do the last few days to re-forge their own identity since virtually EVERYTHING they've done has been tied to the CW.
