Big news out of Market 210 (Kirksville, MO/Ottumwa, IA). KTVO has gotten a brand new set.

In addtion, they have gotten a brand new logo as well as the new version of the Sinclair graphics package.

Plus the best part, now KTVO's newscasts are in HD! (Yes I know it's 2018).

The fact that market 210 has a set that nice is amazing. There are stations in markets twice as big that look worse.

A very nice clean set.

What are they running for their weather system?

Looks like Baron. Also to note, it looks like they finally gave weather a green screen. For a long time they did weather in front of a TV.

I believe that this is in DMA 200. As we all know, Glendive, MT is DMA 210.

KTVO, 3 News, went high definition this week following a $1.5 million station upgrade.

The channel serves DMA 200 which includes Ottumwa, Iowa, and Kirksville, Missouri, where the station is located.

The overall upgrades include updates to add HD infrastructure, a new control room, four robotic PTZ cameras in the studio and a new set design.

I know of at least one station 100 markets bigger still working on a set from 2004, very cheap robo cameras on manual pedestals, and a control room that dates back to the 1980s.
