WSLS moving to new building

The one thing working against WSLS is that it primarily competes with WDBJ on its side of the market and Roanoke (the city) has a population of about 100,000. They should look into a stronger Lynchburg presence too to try to snare some away from WSET.

If they could get a nice secondary studio in Lynchburg, they would be in even better shape.

WSLS interviewed the designer of their set, Michael Wright - a few nuggets of insight here.

It is obviously a duplicate of WJXT and WDIV - but it looks much better than that cramped corner they used to have.

I am glad they got a new studio and building but that set is pretty sterile and meh. The red flooring with the off-white walls remind me of something a Gannett station would have in the 1980s, not something a station would want to have in 2019.
