Eat News 4738 Posted December 13, 2017 Share Posted December 13, 2017 TV preservationist Rick Thomas has dropped a bunch of "lost" historic L.A. news and promos this week. Thomas has restored and rebuilt many 1/2inch reel to reel videotape machines from the 70's which where used in many broadcast archives of the early 1970's. He also has to restore the tapes which are a bit dodgy after all these years in storage. This guy does this for the love of the history. He is not begging for money or any kind of donations....just the love of the biz. Just like the folks here do. Here is one of his latest releases from KABC... Check out the names and faces!
