Guardian signature lick

When I first heard the Guardian sampler montage on SouthernMedia, there was a particular theme within this news music package where it's signature lick just immediately reminded me of something else I feel I had heard in the past. Either a jingle for a product on TV (national commercial) or maybe a signature for a television network ID.

 

If you listen to the very last theme in this sampler, (http://www.southernmedia-nmsa.com/#3,1,1938) starting at 03:58, that particular signature is what captured my attention and has been bugging me ever since I first heard it, as if I heard a similar sound elsewhere before as mentioned below.

 

I was curious to see if anyone else might notice the same thing I do or maybe not! haha
